I've been playing with the features on this here website and have decided that maybe I should stick to English, as much as I like to write in Telegu (which coincidentally is a language that I would estimate 20% of my SMSU friends know). There's a feature in here that translates as you type, and I posted an entry that I thought would go back to English...but alas, no. I just deleted the Telegu post because I'm fairly sure it would have been an insult to those who are Telegu-literate...I think that it may have been replacing English characters with the corresponding Telegu alphabet. I really don't think it was translating the words for me.
The basic jist of the post that was in Telegu is that I woke up this morning really missing my brother, and I'm not sure why. He and I have gone much longer than five weeks without seeing each other, but I think that I am beginning to get the pangs of seperation that will eventually come in full force when I move 3000 miles away. I also recently watched the sort of movie that he and I would need to share a box of Kleenex over (crying of the laughing too hard persuation)--Open Season--and it was one of the strongest "wish you were here" moments I've experienced. Growing up with a person so similar in age and interests was a hard thing to do, but now that we're older and wiser (ha) I really do see Charlie in a completely different light than if you'd asked me five years prior. As far as sibling relationships go, we've had our ups and downs, but there's not another person in the world that could utter one word, or make one face, and have me dissolve into laughter like I can with him. Our similarities end after a short list, but that's pretty much what I love about him. It's kind of a leather shoes and a suit versus grass stains and Carharts thing.
anyway. I'm at Little Sand Bay today again, working on my Podcast and thinking of my bro, yo. Pretty slow day. I did run into an old friend, Willie, from last year...it was good to see him! He was one of the captains of the ABX and we've had our share of great conversations and moments aboard that boat. He promised to take me out to Sand Island before I take off this summer, which I am excited about. : ) because Kate loves a boat ride in any fashion.
