Braveheart anybody? : )
Well, I lived to tell the story of living on an island by myself for a week in the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore! Rather than try and relive all of the crazy events that took place this week, I will keep you on the edge of your seat for one more week before bringing to your eyes the magic that is Manitou Island. What I'll do is transcribe my logbook entries, which conveniently has to stay on the island so I couldn't simply bring it in and type my jottings, and then tell you tales of hilarity and beauty next week either Tuesday or Wednesday.
However, last night after I got off the island and nearly taking all four of my fingers off of my right hand when I got my hand caught between the line and the cleat while tying up my boat, I went to an amazing dinner with great friends. Anne (love of my life), Katrina, Elise, Diana and I went to dinner at the Northern Edge and it was fantastic. THEN we went swimming down in the lake..it was so invigorating and just what I needed after a hot and buggy day. : )
This morning Anne and I went mopeding on Madeline Island...best way to spend a morning. Pictures soon.
LOVE!

Woo Hoo... Lake Superior is magic. I am so proud of you, and understand the feeling of being there. I can't wait to hear (or read) the tales. Have fun, we're thinking of you all the time and what it must be like at Manitou Island.
Love,
Dad and Theresa
