slowly getting there

What a great last few days it's been! Bayfield is such a lovely community and I am really looking forward to heading up for a few weeks to live in the islands again. Once again the park staff is stellar, and my job will be right up my alley. Sweet.

That said, I still have yet to have things nailed in for moving. I did get a great email from a guy, Curtis, who said that he was considering having a boarder/tenant to share his house. I emailed him back right away and we'll see what comes out of it. Seems like a nice fellow and his place is close to my school.

I had a great visit with Dr. Deaver today at the Bagels and Brew here in Marshall. I had my eyes opened to a lot of different possibilities and viewpoints, as is normally the effect of almost all of our conversations. Dr. D gave me the brilliant insight (and by brilliant, I mean pointing out the obvious side that I hadn't yet seen) of checking round trip tickets versus the one way, which is what I've been looking at. Round trip tickets are around $800, so I could probably sell my car, pay for my ticket and get up there that way.

She and I also talked about this being the biggest thing that I've ever done in my life. I've traveled, moved, spent time out of state, been virtually as independent as I possibly could have been, but now my safety net's gone and I need to really, truely leave the place I've called home. This is a both terrifying and liberating prospect, and one that I'm really awaiting with open arms. But for right now, my arms need to be filled with boxes and packing materials, so I'll sign off. Peace!

Isn't that old Dr. Deaver the smart one though? When we talked today, your friend sounds like he's got just the thing for you! I'll sign off cause I'll see you very shortly! Love you, Momma
